WWE 2K Battlegrounds Blowout
2K has shown off a lot more of their arcade wrestling title from Saber Interactive, WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Back in April we got the debut teaser trailer showing the cartoon art style and over the top moves but we now have details on the roster, gamepla, features and release date.
During the latest trailer we got a better look at some new superstars, a few of which were teased in the build up to this trailer, along with footage of weapons, arenas and over-the-top action.
On the WWE 2K Battlegrounds website we also got further information on the games features and roster. As seen in the trailer the game will include male and female Superstars from the current roster as well as WWE Legends. There will be over 70 available at launch with more to be added as free DLC as time goes by but currently we have the following confirmed:
Andre The Giant, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Big Show Braun Strowman, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Charlotte Flair, Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre, Edge (Pre-Order Offer), John Cena, Kalisto, Kofi Kingston, Mankind, Nikki Bella, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, Samoa Joe, Sasha Banks, Sgt. Slaughter, Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker and Yokozuna.
Players will also have a range of modes to use these Superstars. Some of which are to be expected but there are a couple of fun inclusions too.
Brawl with ease in Exhibition matches at home or on-the-go, anytime and anywhere, in local and online multiplayer action for up to four players.
Brawl to the top as you join the adventures of seven new WWE hopefuls – created exclusively for WWE 2K Battlegrounds – in Campaign mode and compete for the chance to earn a WWE contract. Along the way, you’ll unlock new arenas, inspired by extreme locations such as the Everglades, a military-style Bootcamp, Mexico, New York and Scotland, while receiving guidance from legendary personalities including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin® and Paul Heyman™.
King of the Battleground:
Brawl with the best in the King of the Battleground, an online, last-man-standing mode where four players start in the ring while four more wait outside to enter, challenging you to run the gauntlet and defeat them all.
Brawl all over the world in online tournaments and Exhibition matches.
If all this sounds good so far then there’s a great chance you will be able to play WWE 2K Battlegrounds where ever you want too as the game is launching on a range of platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and Windows PC via Steam.
WWE 2K Battlegrounds is also launching pretty soon on September 18th with two versions available. The Standard Version for £34.99/$39.99 and a Digital Deluxe Version for £44.99/$49.99. The Digital Deluxe Version comes with pre unlocked alternate attires for three Superstars as well as some in-game currency while both versions will recieve Edge as a pre-order bonus.
