Nintendo Direct Announced
Nintendo has finally revealed when their next Direct will be airing and its unsurprisingly when the reports suggested it would.
Today Nintendo of America tweeted
For those of you in the U.K. that is 10pm tomorrow evening.
This announcement of a Direct comes hot off of several days of rumours all pointing towards Nintendo showcasing something this week.
The Spyro ReIgnited Trilogy was recently listed on Gamestop’s German website with an August 16th release date. The listing has since been taken down however it wasn’t the only game to seemingly have been listed prematurely. Ubisoft themselves listed Assassins Creed III for Switch on their own website without an official announcement of its release.
The most discussed rumour though came courtesy of ResetEra user King Zell. Having been right about a number of leaks in the past King Zell got fans excited when he suggested a Direct would come on the 13th as well as potential games that may be included. Those games were Pikmin 3, Super Mario Maker 2, Boxboy, Pokémon, a 2D Zelda and the long rumoured Metroid Prime Trilogy. With King Zell being correct regarding the date for the Direct it would be safe to assume we will see at least several of these games announced come tomorrow evening.
Luckily the speculation will only last another day until we can see what Nintendo is working on. Be sure to check back here to see what is shown in the Direct and until then let me know what you would like to see.
