First Doom Eternal Gameplay
We got our first look at Doom Eternal during QuakeCon this weekend where Bethesda showed off fast paced, stunning, Hell on Earth gameplay.
During the 25 minute presentation we got to see over 15 minutes of gameplay of the Doom Slayer in action as well as various pieces of concept art.
The gameplay itself looked incredible and really showed off how visually impressive this game is going to be. Bethesda confirmed that the game will run at 60fps as well as giving a demo of mouse and keyboard gameplay.
Towards the end of that gameplay one of the most interesting pieces of information was revealed.
In Doom Eternal players will be able to invade other players campaigns. When invading another players game you will take the form of a Demon to try and take on their Demon Slayer. Whats more multiple players can invade other players game to team up as Demon’s and give a real challenge to the opposing player.
As expected this is a feature that players will be able to turn on and off depending on their preferences but it certainly will add a fun new dynamic to those that wish to play that way.
As well as new gameplay mechanics Bethesda expressed their love for the franchise and are not only focused on delivering on fun, action packed gameplay but also building out the lore in the Doom games and developing the universe further. This attention to detail in every aspect of the game will surely come as great news to those long-term fans of the series and those that love exploring every inch of these games.
Exploring all those details will be easier than ever too as Bethesda announced that Doom Eternal will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
Whats more for those fans interested in Doom Eternal and want to catch up on the 2016 remake of Doom, they can now do so via Xbox Game Pass on the Xbox One.
