E3 Predictions 2018: Square Enix Showcase

For the first time since 2015 Square Enix will have their own Showcase event at E3 on Monday the 11th at 10am PT/ 6pm BST.

Here are 5 predictions as to what they might show.

Kingdom Hearts III

With Square Enix having their own show this years its safe to assume that one of their most anticipated titles will have a strong presence there. Fans of the series are craving for any new information so expect a decent amount of new information and gameplay to be shown. Just cross your fingers that it stays as a 2018 release.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Since its 2015 announcement fans have been waiting to hear when they can get their hands on the remake of this beloved title and at their own show would be the ideal place to give fans some new information. It’s currently set for to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive so there is a chance that it could show up on Sony’s stage but Square Enix would be wise to at least show something at their own showcase if it is to appear at E3 this year.

Life is Strange 2

Life is Strange 2 is set to be an episodic sequel for the series and is expected to be released before 2020. If this is true then it would make sense for Square Enix to show at least a trailer for the game and potentially even a release date for the first episode to keep fans satisfied.

Just Cause 4

Just Cause 4 is another game potentially outed by the apparent Walmart leak. The last entry in the series Just Cause 3 received good reviews critically so it makes sense that Square Enix would look to release a sequel especially with the popularity of open world games.

Avengers

If Square Enix is having a showcase this year then their Avengers game could be the crown jewel in for that show. Hot off the heels of Avengers Infinity War, any new footage or information regarding this game would sure captivate audiences and potentially the headlines for the week too depending on how much they show. Other than being a third person action adventure game we know little about the game so there is a big opportunity to wow us.

What do you think Square Enix will wow us with on June 11th? Let me know in the comments.
